My unforgettable journey

Ladies and gentlemen we have just landed to the country of Singapore. Thank you for flying the Tiger Airlines. We hope to see you again in some other flights". Together with the captain and all the crews and staff of this flight, i am stewardess Jane, welcome to Singapore!

This were the last lines I remembered from the head stewardess of that flight. I may not be stewardess Jane but I can be your tour guide to our journey of exploring the great country of Singapore.Let me share you my own experiences.

This is not my first time to get out of the country so I wasn't that excited. Riding the plane was quite boring, unless your seated in the window side wherein you can view the wonderful scenery's during the take off. I feel so busted in the three hours flight and what i keep myself doing is chewing bubblegum to diminish the headache and some kind of pain in my ears. The stewardess are not that approachable, (in my own opinion).. compare to the crew of the PAL (Phil. Airlines). Eating is prohibited unless the food is bought in them.

And at last, this is it. I can feel the fresh air of Singapore. I joked my mom saying "Ma uwi na tayo at least may tatak na passport natin. Ok na ako sa airport lang" She laughed and said "Ok magkita na lang tayo after 5 days".

After she said this line, she saw my godmother waving at us. This is my first time to meet my ninang gie for I was still a baby when they transfer in Singapore.

The moment we went home ,we hurriedly take some bath and change our clothes. After this "LARGA NAH.. LAKWATSA AGAD". First stop? Night Safari.

Night Safari was so cool. We rode a mini bus that explore us to the man made jungle. It was quite dark that time, well it should really be that's why it's called "Night" Safari. In every stop where real animals that's just a meter away from me. The scaring sounds of animals made me exchange seats with my mom for I am in the nearest seat in close with the living creatures. It took us more than an hour to tour the whole place but I tell you it's worth it.

The next day was more exciting. We rode the WAcky Duck-Singapore Heritage tour. This water and land vehicle made us see the cities and float in the river of Singapore. And of course how could we miss their country mark? The Ducktour also made us to the Merlion Statue.

Next stop? The Cable car. If I'm not mistaken, the cable car was 15-20 floors high so I really have to contol my breath and force myself not to look down.Anyway, it's not a problem, I'm not an altophobic unlike my Tita Daisy (my mom's friend that flew with us) that did'nt stop pulling my shirt everytime she sees the car in an ants size.Scary but irresistibly enjoying. It was really breath-taking than the cable car in Hongkong.

We watched a musical fountain show in the Sentosa after the extra challenge Cable Car ride.It was a block buster show 'coz the seats were all fulled but there are hundred of people outside.Well, lucky to get a seat for us. Head's up and jaws down was my expression in watching the once in a lifetime show.I hope we could also have this kind of show in the Philippines.

What's a trip without shopping? Souvenirs, gifts and pasalubong on the go.. Look up there, look to the right and left.. OMG!Is this a country full of malls? The citizens here were greatly rich huh.

Paragon,Takashimaya,Bata and too many to mention malls were cursed by my feet.Oh boy, I tought I was doing the revival of death march that time.

Kidding aside,it's only in Singapore where I ate an ice cream in a rectangular shape with both wafers on its sides! Are you jealous now and hope that your with me in this trip?

You should!Because again it is only in this country wherein i ate the DURIAN ice cream. Friendly advice guys, don't try to take a bite! The taste was iww.. undescribable. The smell of durian remained in my mouth until we reached the buenavista gardens, zhender road (ninang gie's house) wherein i had the chance to gargle and brush my teeth.

By the way, let me share you something about my ninang gie. She's very nice and hospitable. She had a son "Arvin" or what commonly called as "SAPI" because he always changes his mood in a snap time. And a months old daughter "Kristine" that was very cute and angelic. The couple both works at the NUH or National University Hospital. We do also had a chance to see this 7 floor semi private hospital. The doors were automatic and instead of elevators are escalators in replace. Sossy huh?!

The country of Singapore was with every nationality around. There are Americans, Europeans, Arabians, Filipinos, Japanese, Chinese and Indians.Speaking of Indians, my godmother couldn't resist of covering her nose whenever they're in reach with us. Maybe you do already know the reason.(kidding)^_^

Our last night before going home was tiring and killing my body with so much pain.To bid us a warm goodbye, my ninang treat us in a restaurant (i don't remember the name anymore bec it was long but it's like a shabu-shabu wherein your the one to cook your meal). It was my first time to eat in that kind of restaurant but it didn't caused me not to overload my stomach.

"Wow.I am really here in Singapore" the words I said while riding on the taxi headed on the airport. It's hard to say goodbye to this kind of country. The people were disciplined, the country was very clean, and high-tech..and in fact, chewing bubble gum is not allowed especially of throwing garbage's anywhere. Isn't it very inviting to live in?

If I'm just given a chance I would like to live there and grow up old there. Of course with my loved ones and friends. But for now I have to say goodbye to this lovely place and continue living my life to the country where I truly love and I truly belong.

The Fairytale journey was over and Cinderella have to go back home and do his works and tasks.

Thanks for reading my blog.
